The Kennedy Center’s Youth Council is pleased to present the Teen Takeover workshops. These sessions, curated by and/or led by current Youth Council members and alum, are interactive and engaging for teens and adults! Multi-generational audiences are welcome! (Most enjoyed by guests 13 years and up) Separate your hands from your feet and come dance to the SOLE Defined beat. SOLE Defined leads a percussive dance workshop fusing body percussion stepping and tap dance. This interactive fusion of percussive dance will explore the history, movement and execution of percussive dances of the African Diaspora created in the United States. Come ready to move with this class taught by the dynamic ensemble SOLE Defined.
