DJ Divine is a nightlife industry veteran of more than 30 years in the Washington D.C. metro area. DJ Divine’s presentation will discuss the origins, elements, and history of House music within the club scene. Divine is the resident DJ at the Gaylord National Resort Pose Rooftop Lounge performing four to five nights a week. DJ Divine is also an integral of the Washington D.C. dance community by hosting and planning events for the past 13 years with the Daylight party, which plays music from the Disco and Club era 70's, 80's, 90's, and the latest soulful house music. Divine is also a contributor to the Dance and Music Festival in Silver Spring which caters to youth and features young DJ's like Kool Flash, DJ Ameer, and Jordan Pope.
