Founded and hosted by multi-instrumentalist producers Erik Spangler (a.k.a. DJ Dubble8) and Wendel Patrick in 2011, Baltimore Boom Bap Society is a forum that provides a platform for experimentation and collaboration. DJ Dubble8 and Wendel Patrick will lead participants through a series of exploratory exercises in spontaneous music-making through group improvisation. With Hip Hop beats as a stylistic foundation, elements of classical and jazz composition and performance will be introduced and collectively shaped into a piece created by the participants and artist facilitators.
