Joseph “Yossi” Kalichstein, Artistic Director of the Kennedy Center Fortas Chamber Music Concerts, is one of the foremost advocates for chamber repertoire. As a member of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio for the last four decades, he has continued to evangelize on “the power of three” in the chamber music realm. Join him for a master class as he mentors the next generation of performers including the Abeo Quartet.
The Abeo Quartet, silver medal winner of the 2019 Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, has been featured in New York at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and on WQXR’s Midday Masterpieces. The quartet, formed at Juilliard, most recently performed in Montréal and has been invited to perform in Oslo, Norway this fall.
