The REACH Opening Festival at the Kennedy Center

Attendees will participate in a movement workshop and learn about indigenous expressions, cultural art forms and futurism. Centered in her work with Dancing Earth, Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Rulan Tangen will share how dance and movement can reflect cultural heritage and draw on the stories and perspectives of a multitude of Indigenous peoples. This session is ideal for citizen artists, artists, student artists and anyone who would like to explore joyous movement as a way to center creativity and engagement of the whole being.
