Join Chloe and Maud Arnold of the Syncopated Ladies for a beginner's tap workshop. All shoes welcome!
Experience the fierce footwork of Emmy-nominated viral female tap dance sensations Syncopated Ladies! The L.A. based dance group bends the tap genre for modern audiences, taking its place in what traditionally has been a tap-dancing boys club. Created by D.C. natives Chloe and Maude Arnold, The Syncopated Ladies have garnered international acclaim with appearances on “Good Morning America,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “Ellen” and reached over 6 million views after Beyoncé shared their rendition of her iconic Coachella performance. “We’re not breaking down doors,” says Maud. “We’re creating the entire house. We're trying to make the world see our African-American street dance form as an elevated form of art.” @syncladies
The Syncopated Ladies will perform tonight at 8:15 in Studio K with a live simulcast projected on the Outdoor Film Wall.
