Charles Burnett is a pioneering African-American independent filmmaker whose deeply observational movies treat social realism with a poetic touch. Burnett will talk about his approach to his craft in an informal discussion accompanied by scenes from his films, including "Killer of Sheep" and "To Sleep with Anger."
