"Crisis: Behind a Presidential Commitment" captures an intimate look into John F. Kennedy’s life during a key confrontation in the U.S. battle for civil rights - the desegregation of the University of Alabama in 1963. Using the distinctive American Cinéma Vérité style pioneered by Robert Drew, the cameras follow each participant as the crisis unfolds and up through its dramatic climax - including rare scenes from inside the Oval Office. The screening is followed by a discussion with Vice President and Artistic Director of Social Impact Marc Bamuthi Joseph.
