For 45 years, San Francisco’s Kronos Quartet has combined a spirit of fearless exploration with a commitment to continually reimagine the string quartet experience. In the process, Kronos has become one of the world’s most celebrated and influential ensembles, releasing more than 60 recordings, commissioning more than 1000 works for string quartet, and winning more than 40 awards. The quartet covers a broad range of musical genres, including contemporary classical music. Enjoy a performance by this Grammy-winning ensemble in the chill-out lounge space of the Skylight Pavilion.
