Yalitza Aparicio
Originally from Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, Aparicio is a Mexican actress who made her acting debut in Roma (2018). Before stardom she pursued a career in pre-school education and one day hopes to open a daycare center that supports single mothers. She is the first Indigenous American woman to receive a Best Actress Oscar Nomination and won the New Hollywood Award in 2018 from the Hollywood Film Awards (HFA).
