Pharoahe Monch

Pharoahe Monch is an Emcee/Recording Artist from Queens, NY who is regarded as one of the standard bearers for lyricism in hip-hop today. His career spans over 2 decades and has produced several hit records, including “Simon Says” which is widely considered a classic anthem.

As part of the duo Organized Konfusion, Monch was part of three albums, the eponymous debut, released in 1991, Stress: The Extinction Agenda released in 1994 and 1997’s The Equinox.

Pharoahe has produced 4 solo albums, his breakout 1999 debut Internal Affairs, followed by 2007’s Desire, 2012’s W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) and 2014’s PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). All four have been critically acclaimed and he has toured the world extensively in support of these efforts. He is currently in studio working on a new project due summer 2018.

Monch was included in the film Miles Ahead, the Don Cheadle biopic on Miles Davis. He has the end credit song produced by Robert Glasper, entitled “Gone: 2015". The song was also included on the Soundtrack of the same name which won a Grammy Award in 2017 for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
