Ron Brown pka (DJ) RBI is an artist / entrepreneur working in arts & entertainment (particularly DJing, radio programming / production, stage performance, music production & visual art).
A longtime professional working in areas of youth development, he has taught and mentored students among organizations such as The DC Commission of The Arts & Humanities and non-profits such as Words, Beats, & Life INC and Guerilla Arts INK.

Recording artists such as Kev Brown, yU, Priest Da Nomad, and Surock are amongst those who've collaborated and released work featuring DJ RBI. He regularly tours and performs with acts including Dumi Right & Zimbabwe Legit, Asheru, Ethan Spalding & The TrapRock Family, Sound Of The City Band, RNL, and 90's hip-hop legend YZ.

He is a creative partner and performer in seminal Hip-Hop Theatre act, "Hueman Prophets" and has been a regular associate of The Hip Hop Theatre Festival/ Hi-Arts (NYC), including a stint as a foundational participant in the groundbreaking "A Rhyme Deferred" alongside Kamilah Forbes, Jabari Exum, Chadwick Boseman and others.

In radio he works as producer/DJ/host of 89.3 FM WPFW's "ILL Street Grooves" and "Capitol ILL" and engages the DMV nightlife circuit as a principle member of the DMV-based DJ collective, Diamond Cutterz.

RBI founded DC Hip Hop Archive in 2014, taking initiative to institutionalize the historic journey, stories and figures of the Greater Washington DC area's Hip Hop community.
